Projects taken-up Currently

The EDC team is currently working on three projects: supporting IBS centers in setting up academic systems and procedures, preparation for achieving AACSB International accreditation, and preparation for achieving efmd accreditation.

Project One: Supporting IBS centers in setting up Academic Systems and Procedures

EDC assists IBS centers in setting up academic systems and procedures. Among other things, EDC proposes knowledge-sharing activities, maintaining a record of the intellectual contributions of faculty members, preparing faculty development techniques, developing learning goals for each IBS program and measuring the learning outcomes against the goals set.

Project Two: Preparation for achieving AACSB International Accreditation

AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, is a not-for-profit organization consisting of educational institutions, corporations and other organizations devoted to the promotion and improvement of higher education in business administration and management. It is based in St.Louis, MO, USA. AACSB International grants accreditation to business administration and accounting programs at all the levels: undergraduate, graduate and doctoral.

IBS is aimed at obtaining accreditation for its business administration programs. The EDC team studied the new standards recommended by the Blue Ribbon Committee (BRC) of AACSB International and prepared the preliminary gap analysis report for all standards. The application for eligibility will be submitted shortly after compilation of the required information.

Project Three: Preparation for achieving efmd Accreditation

The European Foundation for Management Education (efmd) is a global, not-for-profit, membership organization, established in 1972, and based in Brussels. It acts as a knowledge broker among the member organizations and accredits b-schools through its system, European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). Membership into efmd is a prerequisite for EQUIS accreditation. On behalf of IBS, EDC is going to apply for membership of efmd as a first step towards accreditation.
