IBS continuously strives towards enhancement of its standards and procedures to meet global standards and provide quality education to aspiring managers. To this end, the Education Development Cell (EDC) was set up in 2002 to study the accreditation standards prescribed for b-schools by accrediting bodies like AACSB International and European Foundation for Management Development (efmd) and the operations of b-schools worldwide, and thereby assist IBS in developing world-class academic systems and procedures. The EDC team is headed by a Dean.

EDC Mission Statement

The Mission of EDC is to assist IBS in continuously improving its academic systems by enabling its faculty and teaching assistants to reach their full potential in teaching and research, and also to advise IBS on the enhancement of its academic progress, facilities and processes to achieve the best available quality standards.
